I'm Benjamin Beaver and this is my Coldwell Banker® success story.

I've always had an interest in buying and selling homes – I was a firefighter by day and owned rental properties on the side. When I thought about getting my real estate license, I just figured it would be part time. But when I met with the manager and broker at the Coldwell Banker Patterson Properties office, I knew real estate was the right fit for my career. Within a month I signed on full time. I realized I could practice real estate my way, meeting with great people and using creative marketing ideas to get my name out there.

The educational opportunities offered by Coldwell Banker University® is unparalleled, and I have taken advantage of a wide range of topics from the agent portal. I can pick anything I want to learn about, such as filming property videos, listen to a podcast, participate in a live online course or a class at my office.

I always feel like I am “in the loop” and made aware of opportunities as they evolve. And our local Coldwell Banker office is the only brokerage in the area with a full-time branch manager and support staff who are always ready to lend a helping hand.

They make it seamless to link to videos on our YouTube channel, OnLocation, and it is quick and easy to prepare a professional presentation for every potential client. I love creating videos and showcasing my properties in the best possible light. My success is based on a combination of being supported by a national brand, my local office and the freedom I have to be creative and have fun. I have found that resourceful marketing, my use of video, and time I save clients through the use of technology have all contributed to my business success.

If you’ve wondered if real estate is right for you, I would say it’s more about people than houses. You have to like people and enjoy helping them. In most cases, this is the biggest purchase they will make in their lives and it helps to be able to relate to them by putting yourself in their shoes. Communicate with your clients, focus on building your business, take training whenever it is offered… and success will follow!
